I grew up in Chilton, a small town an hour south of Green Bay, Wisconsin. And yes, I am a Packer fan! I attended the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology-Exercise Science in 2004. In November 2007, I graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University as a Doctor of Chiropractic.
After graduation, I worked in a clinic in the Minneapolis area for about 6 months before returning to my hometown. For the next year, I worked in a small clinic in Milwaukee. In June 2009, I married a fellow chiropractor, J.D. Dorman. J.D. grew up in Hayti, SD and is currently practicing at Luverne Health and Wellness in Luverne, MN.
J.D. and I love being a part of a prospering community like Rock Rapids. Since both J.D. and I grew up in small towns, it is very important to us to raise our family in a town like Rock Rapids,
where we can be an integral part of the community. We especially enjoy being able to walk to Central Lyon Football games from our home!
I also enjoy serving as a part of the Rock Rapids Kiwanis Club and the Rock Rapids Business Women organization. I am currently serving a term as a Rock Rapids CAC Board member, and I truly enjoy being a part of the activities and events that our town puts on.
I love treating patients of all ages, including infants. In addition to chiropractic care, I enjoy also treating patients with Kinesiotaping, Low Level Laser, Graston and Acupuncture. Acupuncture uses very thin, sterilized needles to stimulate points on the skin of the body and is an excellent addition to chiropractic treatment for many conditions.
In our time in Rock Rapids, J.D. and I really feel we have become a part of the Rock Rapids community. We love our new home, and look forward to the many years to come. In fact, we are expecting our first child in March of 2011!
